Full Moon in Scorpio

Our full moon vibes (read: heightened emotions) are being directly influenced by Ceres and the Nodes. This goes way deep. Can you feel it?

Change is a powerful thing; people are powerful beings trying to find the power in me to be faithful...

It is my guess that many of us may feel tonight's full moon in Scorpio as a moment of deep longing; an emotion too deep for us to put into words.

The full moon is square the nodes, and the North Node is conjunct the asteroid Ceres. We're running into an energy we last encountered in early February, between eclipses. .

Ceres is the unique thread here, weaving through the more common alignments of the Sun, the Moon, and the Nodes. Her archetype is complex--food, mothers, and death/rebirth are a few of the themes with which she's associated. She also represents a very feminine side of grief.

She's been in Leo - and in a series of meetings with the North Node, our current karmic growth edge - since September. That's a similar timeline to the #metoomovement, which is enjoying a moment of culmination right now with Bill Cosby's conviction (and which definitely has a Leo-esque flavor.)

Although I've long traced #metoo to Jupiter's influence in the "underworld" of Scorpio, there's a VERY interesting synchronicity here.

Not only does Ceres' myth directly concern the Underworld, but tonight's full moon is in.... Scorpio. This Moon is a pale but bright light shining from those deep waters on to a different side of the collective consciousness.

In my heart, this feels like equal parts grief and strength.

It feels like the glorious liberation of truth being spoken, and the exhaustion generated by millennia of oppression. It feels like not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel--but having faith, somewhere deep inside, that it's there.

I would have to write a full-length essay to really get to the core of it, and maybe someday I will. But for now, I'm just going to trust that at least a few of you know what I'm talking about.

Every time that we run, we don't know what it's from now we finally slow down, we feel close to it. There's a change gonna come, we don't where or when but whenever it does we'll be here for it...
